Palltronics, Inc. v. PALIoT Solutions, Inc.

The federal district court for the Eastern District of Michigan granted a preliminary injunction, finding that the plaintiff had shown it would likely prevail on the merits under the trade secret misappropriation claims in bankruptcy court, and had shown that it would be irreparably harmed by the defendant's misappropriation.

The plaintiff, a wood-pallet producer, purchased the assets of a bankrupt company. One such asset was the development of a plan to incorporate the sale of carbon credits into their business. The complaint alleged that the defendant, who also sought to purchase the company’s assets, stole some of the assets from the plaintiff, including the carbon credit development plan.
