Motion for voluntary dismissal granted.
The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals granted Sierra Club’s motion for voluntary dismissal of its petition challenging the U.S. Department of Energy’s authorization for increased exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports to non-free trade agreement nations from a terminal in Louisiana (the Sabine Pass terminal). The D.C. Circuit previously denied Sierra Club’s petition seeking review of a previous authorization of LNG exports from the Sabine Pass terminal. Sierra Club’s arguments in the instant case, which concerned alleged violations of the Natural Gas Act and the National Environmental Policy Act, were similar to its arguments in the earlier case.
