United States v. Vermont

The intervenor-defendant organizations filed a notice of supplemental authority to inform the court of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's rescission of the 2009 endangerment finding for greenhouse gases from motor vehicles and the rescission of greenhouse gas emission standards under the Clean Air Act. The organizations argued that EPA's position in the final rule contradicted its litigation position in this case. The organizations also notified the court of the Supreme Court's granting of certiorari in Suncor Energy, Inc. v. Commissioners of Boulder County.
