The federal district court for the District of Rhode Island granted a motion by federal defendants to transfer Rhode Island and Connecticut’s lawsuit challenging a federal stop-work order for the Revolution Wind offshore wind program to federal court in the District of Columbia, where a lawsuit brought by the project’s developer was pending in which the court had already issued a preliminary injunction enjoining enforcement of the stop-work order. The Rhode Island federal court cited the similarities in the claims and requested relief in the two cases and the potential for inconsistent judgments.
