Democracy Forward Foundation v. National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration

A non-profit organization filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit in the federal district court for the District of Columbia seeking to compel the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to respond to a request for documents related to the removal of retired U.S. Navy Rear Admiral Tim Gallaudet as acting administrator of NOAA. The complaint alleged that Gallaudet “had earned plaudits for advancing the agency’s priorities in ocean and atmospheric sciences without succumbing to political interference with climate research.”
