New York v. U.S. Department of Energy

Ten states and the City of New York filed a petition in the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals seeking review of the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) decision to delay the effective date for final energy conservation standards for ceiling fans. On January 31, 2017, DOE published notice that it would postpone the effective date to March 21, 2017; on March 21, DOE published notice that it would further delay the effective date to September 30, 2017 to allow the Secretary of Energy time to review and consider the regulations.
