In a companion case to several lawsuits filed in federal court challenging California's Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS), a corn ethanol producer filed a lawsuit in California state court challenging the LCFS. Among other things, the lawsuit alleged that CARB violated the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the California Health and Safety Code in establishing the standard. The superior court denied the petition and complaint and granted judgment for the defendants. Plaintiff appealed.
