In 2019, Austrian company Strabag and two affiliates filed a claim under the Energy Charter Treaty related to Germany's administration if its renewable energy regime, including for offshore wind energy production, which allegedly caused the claimants to abandon their offshore wind projects. No further detail about the case has yet been made public.
